Varieties

Monte São Sebastião Reserva Tinto, results from a 35 year-old vineyard where the following varieties have been planted: Touriga Franca, Tinta Barroca and Touriga Nacional.

Vinification

Vinification took place from the third week until the end of September. Maturation was verified in August and September.
The harvested grapes are immediately processed, thus inhibiting high phenolic extraction.
The grapes are hand picked and arrive at the winery in 20 kg plastic boxes.
Vinification took place in fermentation tanks at a temperature of 25°C to 28°C to extract the primary fruit aromas and round, sweet tannins.
Malolactic fermentation occurred in November 2015.
The wine was aged for a period of 12 months in French oak barrels (2nd year of wine use). Afterwards, it was aged in the bottle for a period of 12 months.
